BACK PAIN

Back pain can affect anyone and everyone with nearly 80% of people experiencing it in their lifetime. Back pain can be quite costly and commonly results in time off work and even early retirement or a change in roles for the more severe cases. It also has a habit of recurring: so if you experience it once, you’ll likely experience it again if you don’t seek the right help.

Research has shown that nearly 25% of all acute back pain episodes develop into chronic pain when not properly managed. One of the common symptoms seen alongside back pain is sciatica. Sciatica is the referral of pain down the leg, it can often include tingling or numbness as well.

What causes back pain?

Regardless of age or occupation, back pain can come from a variety of contributing factors, including.

  • Trauma or accident

  • Prolonged Sitting

  • Previous back injury

  • Sporting Injuries

  • Muscle weakness

  • Lack of movement

  • Incorrect training

  • Osteoporosis / Arthritis
